WILMSLOW, UK, October 09, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Shadow Puppets are an acoustic duet; this is their first album
release. "The Moral of The Story" is a twelve track, forty minute
digital release.
The album opens with the single "All Gone Now", the highly catchy
flute part makes this the obvious choice as a single. The album
features a string quartet and this allowed the Shadow puppets to
create a flowing album with tracks ranging from the reggae style
"Not yours to break", to the "Heart song" and the epic "The
Noose", a rework of A Perfect Circles beautiful track.
In a move away from the norm this album is released by Itikio
Records which is part owned by the band. This is to reverse the
effects of record industry fat cats sucking the life out of every
artist that gets signed. Following the lead of Trent Reznor and
Radiohead the money digital release will go solely go to the band.
Matt Boyd, from the Shadow Puppets loves this move "it's a bold
move to move towards the new business model, if everyone would
take the plunge it would lead to a more creative industry with less
bands having to have day jobs."
The album is released in all good digital retailers on the 20th of
October globally.
